The conflict in Sudan has been increasingly reported on in recent weeks. However, it is to be feared that media attention in Europe will decrease rapidl. But the war goes on. Food, water and electricity supplies have already collapsed in many parts of the country. It is a violent struggle for power between the Sudan Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, with civilians, especially children, suffering the most. Hundreds of people have died and thousands have been injured, and many do not have enough supplies to survive. The country’s food, water and power supplies have already collapsed in many areas, leading to displacement, hunger and infectious diseases. The Sudan is already one of the world’s poorest nations, with people living on less than $750 a year. As a result of the conflict, refugees are now fleeing from Sudan to South Sudan, with over 10,000 people arriving in Renk alone in the last few days, and another 50,000 expected in the coming days.
